Split Testing
1 min read · Reviewed 17 Oct 2026
In short
Running two versions against each other to see which performs better.
In plain English
Showing one version to half your visitors and another to the other half, changing one thing at a time so you know what caused the difference. Also called A/B testing.
Change two things and you have learned nothing about either.
A real example
The same page with two different headlines, split evenly, until enough people have seen both to tell them apart.
Why it matters
The bottleneck was never the testing — it was producing enough good variations to be worth testing. That is the part AI genuinely removes, provided the claims stay under your control.
