Call to Action
1 min read · Reviewed 17 Oct 2026
In short
The specific thing you are asking the reader to do next.
In plain English
A line, button or link naming one action: download, book, buy, reply. Usually shortened to CTA.
The failure is almost never that it is worded badly. It is that there are three of them, or none.
A real example
"Book a 15-minute call" is a call to action. "Get in touch" is a hope.
Why it matters
AI writes competent CTAs and will happily write several onto the same page, because each section reads better with one. Deciding which single action a page is for is your job, not the model's.
