Long-Form Content

In short
Substantial pages that cover a topic properly rather than briefly.
In plain English
Articles and pages long enough to answer a question in full — typically well over a thousand words — written to be the useful result rather than one of ten similar ones.
Length is a symptom, not the goal. Padding a thin article to 2,000 words produces a thin 2,000-word article.
A real example
A complete guide to a topic, with its subtopics covered in enough depth that a reader does not need to go back to the search results.
Why it matters
AI has made producing long text free, which has made length worthless as a signal on its own. What still costs something — original research, real figures, a point of view — is now the entire differentiator.
