Social Proof

In short
Evidence that other people have already trusted you and were right to.
In plain English
Anything that shows a stranger they would not be first: testimonials, case studies, named clients, numbers, reviews, a waiting list, work you have published.
It answers a question people rarely ask out loud — has this worked for anyone like me?
A real example
"Trusted by hundreds of businesses" proves nothing, because anyone can type it. "Forty-one bookkeeping practices moved across last year, including three you will have heard of" can be checked, which is what makes it work.
Why it matters
This is the one section of a page you must never let AI write for you. Asked for proof it does not have, a model will produce a fluent, entirely invented testimonial, and it will look exactly like the real thing. Supply your own or leave the section empty until you can — a fabricated one is a claim about a named person who did not say it.
