Decision Board

2 min read · Reviewed 17 Oct 2026

In short

One table sorting a conversation into facts, assumptions, unknowns, risks and next actions.

In plain English

A way of closing a long AI conversation. Instead of scrolling back through forty messages, you ask the AI to sort everything said into five columns: what is a fact, what is an assumption, what is still unknown, what the risks are, and what the next actions should be.

The value is in the sorting, not the writing. A confident paragraph hides the difference between a figure you supplied and a figure the model guessed. A decision board cannot.

A real example

After working through a property deal with AI, the board shows the purchase price as a fact (you had the listing), the refurbishment cost as an assumption (the model used a typical figure), the end value as an unknown, planning as a risk, and "get two builder quotes" as the next action.

You now know exactly which number to go and check before committing.

Why it matters

Most bad decisions made with AI are not made on false information. They are made on information where nobody tracked which parts were solid.

A decision board makes the shaky parts visible at the moment you are about to act on them, which is the only moment it helps.
