The 6D AI Thinking Method™ 3 min read
Welcome: How to Think with AI
What you'll learn
- What the 6D AI Thinking Method™ will help you do
- How the course is organised, from the method to a worked example
- How to get the most from each chapter
Hello, and welcome. Grab a cuppa. This isn't one of those courses that throws 200 prompts at you and wishes you luck.
This course is about something far more useful: how to think with AI. Once you've got that, the prompts take care of themselves, and you'll still be using what you learn here in six months' time, whatever new tool has launched that week.
Here's the big idea in one sentence:
The opportunity with AI isn't to outsource your thinking. It's to have something that helps you think wider, go deeper, challenge yourself, and then turn that thinking into action.
Who this course is for
- Business owners, coaches, consultants, experts and property investors who use AI a bit (or not at all) and want to get far more out of it.
- People who've tried ChatGPT, got a so-so answer and thought "is that it?"
- Anyone who wants AI to help them make better decisions, not just faster ones.
No tech skills needed. If you can type a message, you can do everything in this course.
What you'll be able to do
By the end of this course you'll be able to:
- Explain the four ways to use AI and move beyond using it like a search engine.
- Give AI the context it needs, including getting AI to interview you.
- Use the 6D AI Thinking Method™: Define your context, then Discover, Dig, Doubt and Do, with Double-check throughout, on any business problem.
- Separate facts from assumptions using a simple decision board, so a confident AI answer never fools you.
- Turn AI conversations into real outputs: plans, spreadsheets, emails, checklists.
- Choose an AI tool and set it up once so every conversation starts smarter.
- Apply the whole method to a real decision, as shown in the property case study.
How this course works
The course has two parts:
- Part 1: The Method (chapters 2 to 10). The thinking, the framework and the habits. This works for any business.
- Part 2: The Method on One Real Decision (chapters 11 to 14). A worked example. We follow a property investor through all six steps, from a vague question to a clear decision and a to-do list. The decision happens to be a property one; the thinking is the same whatever you sell.
Each chapter follows the same simple rhythm, so you always know where you are:
| You'll see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Why this matters | The quick reason to care, before the detail. |
| The big idea | The concept, explained in plain English. |
| Try this | A short exercise. Do it with your own AI, on a real problem. This is where the learning actually happens. |
| Pause and reflect | A question to think about (or jot down) before moving on. |
| Quick check | Two or three questions to test yourself. Answers are at the end of the chapter. |
| Key takeaways | The chapter in a few lines, for when you come back later. |
Time: about 2 to 3 hours in total, including the exercises. Do a chapter a day if you like. There's no exam, no deadline and no prize for rushing.
Tip: Keep an AI chat open while you read. Every time you see Try this, do it straight away. Reading about swimming is fine; getting in the pool is better.
