The date after which a model knows nothing, unless it can look things up.

Training stops at a point in time. Events after that date are invisible to the model unless the tool can search the web and feed results in.
A real example
Ask about something from last month and a model without search will either say it does not know, or — worse — construct a plausible answer from patterns and present it confidently.
Why it matters
Anything time-sensitive needs either a tool with live search or your own verification. Prices, regulations, product features and 'the latest' anything are exactly where this bites.
